Joann is the second generation of this family owned business.
After graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Business Management/Marketing, Joann joined her father, John Cusumano, in the agency in 1977. She learned the business from him and looks back and cherishes the time when he took her under his wing and taught her the business.
She has been involved in all aspects of the agency over the years. In addition to being one of the principals, she is currently the CFO/COO and holds the professional designation of Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI). Although Joann has seen many changes within this industry, the one thing that remains steadfast is the agency’s commitment to their clients
During her insurance career, she has held various positions within the insurance industry. She has served on company Agent’s Advisory Councils, the Member Advisory Panel for the Independent Insurance Agents of PA and as a Board of Directors for the Insurance Club of Pittsburgh.
She was an Allegheny Health Network 2014 Celebrate & Share Women of Achievement Honoree. She is also an active member of the Women of Southwestern PA, a philanthropic organization supporting women and children.
